A client had an online business that was consistently generating over 6 figures per year, but he wasn’t satisfied.
In fact, he felt a little stuck.
His email list was growing.
He had multiple products for sale with several new ones in the works.
His ads were profitable.
But whenever he took his foot off the gas pedal, things started falling apart.
Sales were inconsistent. He’d see a surge of cashflow when he released a new product but it would quickly taper off.
It felt like Facebook was jerking him around on a chain. He had to constantly put out new ads, and Facebook kept moving the goalposts.
What worked last month didn’t work this month.
It was like he was running on a treadmill that kept increasing speed as he desperately tried to keep from flying off.
He had a respectable, full-time online income, but it felt stagnant.
How could he take his business from 6-figures to 7-figures without killing himself?
It is a great question and one I was glad to answer.
I’ve been full-time online for 25 years. And I’ve coached one-on-one clients at all different levels for the past 14 years.
There are a few obvious differences between 6-figure and 7-figure+ clients.
For example, they talk differently.
I often hear six-figure clients talking about everything they’re not doing…how guilty they feel about their ‘should-do’ list…and how overwhelmed they feel about the day-to-day responsibilities.
That’s a discussion that rarely comes up with the 7-figure+ clients. Instead of wasting time worrying about what they could be doing, they’re busy tracking what’s working…and maximizing it.
Sure, they almost always have a list of new ideas to implement over the next 90 days, but they don’t feel the same sense of pressure.
Instead, they’re focused on their vision.
They know their limitations.
They don’t just discuss what will be done next, but also who should take ownership of it.
There’s a big clue right there.
That overwhelming sense of urgency so many internet business owners feel often comes from taking ownership of too many responsibilities.
Narrow your focus. Put systems in place. Hand off responsibilities.
And that’s just the beginning.
