You need a website.

This is true even if you focus on other platforms such as Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, or others.

On social media, you’re simply a guest in someone else’s home.

They can limit your reach or even ban you whenever they choose.

Your website is your home.

It’s where you have full control of your message.

But that leads to another problem. How do you set-up your website, create opt-in pages to get people on your email list, and create landing pages for your offers and your content?

It was painful back when I started. We had primitive tools like Frontpage along with coding HTML directly.

Today there are an ABUNDANCE of great tools for designing your website.

Some of the big web hosts even have their own built-in website builders.

So, how do you choose with all the available options?

Use whatever you like. Seriously. If you’re already using a tool and you like it, keep using it.

Every tool has a learning curve.

And switching over will cost you time.

Your success isn’t about the tool you use. It’s about your audience and your offer.

The website builder I personally like best is Optimizepress (affiliate link).

Here’s a few reasons I’ve used it for years…

1) Built on WordPress

Some people consider WordPress a negative, because it’s not as fast as pages built on straight HTML.

But WordPress means you have access to a LOT of free and low-cost plugins along with the freedom to create just about anything you can imagine.  Wordpress is the most common website platform (43% of all small websites).

2) Landing Page Templates

Look through the built-in templates for Optimizepress and you can likely find something that’s similar to what you want for an opt-in page, sales page, or membership.

Start with one of their templates, fill in your text, and move stuff around.

3) Designed for Direct Response

I’ve also used Elementor, Divi, and Thrive Architect.  Elementor is the most popular of WordPress builders, but Optimizepress has the best built-in templates for direct response websites.

Basically, Optimizepress is made for online marketers. You can see this even in the simple customizations they offer such as how it’s easy to add a notification bar or create an animated underline on your headline to draw attention to a specific word or phrase.

4) Ease of Use

You’re not going to use all the built-in features, because you don’t need to. But you can learn the basics in a few hours with their training videos along with the fact it’s decently intuitive.

Once you get the hang of it, it’s easy to make changes, move stuff around, and reuse sections you want on multiple pages (basically you save them as a ‘section’ that can then be imported into any of your other pages).

5) Integrations

Does the tool ‘play nice’ with everything else you’re using in your business?  I always check the integrations section for any software to see if it’s going to be easy to plug it into my other tools.

Optimizepress has built in integration with Aweber, Birdsend, and other email software. It also integrates with Zoom and video sites.

As I mentioned earlier, if you already have a website tool you like…keep using it.

It’s NOT worth the hassle of changing.

But if you’re unhappy with whatever you’re using or looking for something to help you build direct response websites where you’re focused on optins and sales…then I’d recommend Optimizepress as a possibility.

If you have any questions about whether it’s for you, feel free to reply to this email and ask away…

I can’t promise answer everything about it and may need to refer you to their support, but I have used it for years for my own sites.
