Would you like more winners in your online business?

More profitable emails…

More profitable courses…

More profitable websites…

Here’s the secret to achieving bigger successes more often…

Be willing to fail.

You miss every shot you don’t take.

Let’s look at baseball…

Barry Bonds has the most home runs with 762 over his entire career.

He also had 1,539 strikeouts. He was twice as likely to strikeout as get a home run.

Ty Cobb had the highest career batting average at .366.

That means he had a hit only a little over 1/3rd of the times he was at bat.

It takes an amazing player to achieve success 1/3rd of the time!

Yet, for some reason we expect everything we do online to be a home run.

Life doesn’t work like that.

If you want to write more profitable emails, you must send more emails.

If you want more profitable courses, you should create more courses.

If you want more profitable websites, you need to test more variations on your websites.

I’ve failed a LOT over the years.

Over two decades ago I owned a membership site where I revealed the results from ads and tests I did.

Guess what?

I had more strikeouts than home runs.

It was kind of embarrassing to share some of my tests.

That’s why you don’t hear many people talking much about their failures.

Gurus pay all kinds of lip service to testing. They’ll tell you about the amazing split test where one headline doubled or even tripled the conversion of another one.

They don’t share the other 10 tests where the numbers were inconclusive or hurt response.

Today, I have an unfair advantage.

I help a limited number of one-on-one clients in various markets including niches such as fitness, learning languages, stock trading, and more.  Multiple clients have been with me for more than 10 years.

This means I get to see a LOT of tests that barely move the needle.

But it also means I discover breakthroughs in a variety of different markets.

If you’re limited to only seeing what others are doing in your own niche market, then you’ll miss out on the home runs occurring all around you.

You can become myopic.

What are you testing this week?

Sure, something new might strike out. But you still need to get back up to bat again.

I always recommend you focus first on the 80/20 that are already working for you.

For example, if you’re running ads, that could mean 80% or even 90% of your budget on the best performing campaigns. Take 10% to 20% of the budget and test a new idea…something you’ve seen work in another industry that you can apply to your own. Or simply a hunch you have based on your knowledge of the market.

This also applies to writing emails, creating courses, producing content, etc.

Take more at bats.

Try more new things.

Experience bigger successes more often.

My experience with clients across hundreds of markets helped me come up with the Golden Glove Persuasion Map™.

Creating a clear, authentic message that consistently attracts new customers and clients is the foundation of everything else you do online.

Show you have true empathy for your customers’ pains, problems, and desires.

Make yourself the only viable option for your ideal clients…no matter how many lower priced competitors you have.
