If you try to speak to everyone, you end up communicating with no one in particular.
Choose a niche audience who has money to spend.
Become an advocate for them.
What problems, fears, and frustrations do they have?
What do they worry about in the middle of the night?
Who is taking advantage of them?
What do they wish they could say…that you can put into words for them?
Be their voice.
Do this…and you will stand out in your market.
It’s one of the missing links people forget about when choosing a market.
And it’s a secret to setting yourself apart from the competition.
Create a message that speaks to your ideal clients…instead of trying to be everything to everyone.
Grow your audience by narrowing it.
Make a deeper connection with those who resonate with your message.
While this is part of choosing the right market, it’s about way more than this.
It’s a way of life.
Occasionally, you need to step back and reassess where you are in business.
What’s working?
What’s wasting your time?
How has your market changed recently?
What gives you energy?
Who are your best clients and customers?
How can you refine your message to better communicate with your ideal clients today?
It’s that last question I’m speaking to here.
It seems like everyone in the marketing game is going crazy for ChatGPT and AI.
Those tools are great, as long as use them in their proper place.
But at the same time, it’s leading to a flood of mediocre content that tries to ‘speak to everyone’.
It’s tough to be contrarian and take a stand if you rely exclusively on the most popular opinions in your market.
Who is your ideal client?
Where are they hurting?
What opinion do they want to voice…but can’t quite put into words?
Be their advocate.
Write for them. Speak to them. Be a leader.
Don’t follow the same routine as everyone else.
Zig when others zag.
Be bold with your message.
Communicate it consistently.
Attract your ideal clients.
Deliver real value.
Grow your business.
