In my personal life, I’m a mild-mannered introvert.

I’m soft-spoken and would much rather spend time reading a book at home than go to a party.

But online I’m a sales super hero.

As strange as it may sound to you, I use super powers to help my customers and clients.

One of those powers is my X-ray vision where I use the Golden Glove to see through websites and sales funnels to quickly figure out why they’re not converting like they should.

But that’s not all…I have other powers as well.

And just like any super hero, I have an origin story. You probably know it by now.

I was in debt and earning $8 an hour as a pizza delivery driver for Little Caesars when I stumbled upon the Internet. I soon went full-time online, paid off those debts, and started demonstrating the power of email at Internet conferences.

I have villains I confront daily. One of them is the get-rich-quick guru who tells you all you have to do is click this button…and your dreams will come true. Others include BSOs (Bright Shiny Objects) and low converting websites.

But enough about me…

This email is about you.

You too can attract customers and clients by embracing your inner super hero.

Find your super powers.

What can people rely on you for? What is your competitive advantage? Why should someone choose you over every other available option?

Claim those powers. Be bold about them. You might be unassuming in your personal life, but no one is going to know what you can do for them unless you shout it from the rooftops.

What is your origin story?

This is the story behind why you’re in the business you’re in. You faced a desperate problem. There was an Inciting Incident where you were forced to make a choice to move forward. You faced challenges along the way and you are where you are today because of this story.

And who are the villains you’re helping your audience overcome?

They could be the myths in your industry. It may be the lies told by the pharmaceutical companies. It could be the addiction your audience faces. Villains don’t have to be an individual or group. They can be a concept, idea, or problem that is holding your clients back from success.

These 3 pieces are all part of your new super hero identity, your Authority Architecture.

They help you establish your authority in the marketplace.

They attract customers and clients to you…instead of you working your tail off to convince them.
