Black Friday Survival Guide

Are you brave enough to go outside on Black Friday?

You’re likely to get pushed, shoved, or run over. There are always a few stories every year of fights breaking out among shoppers.

And it’s even moved into Thanksgiving Day itself in the last couple of years.

My wife and I decided to check out Best Buy yesterday to witness the insanity.

The massive parking lot designed for dozens of stores was close to full. And the line outside waiting stretched for blocks.

And of course once the store opens it’s pure pandemonium.

Those customers have been stirred into a buying frenzy.

Normally I can’t stand shopping, but I do enjoy the entertainment.

Because Black Friday is the perfect demonstration of how powerful it is to combine an Irresistible Offer with a Reason to Act Now.

If you’re ever tempted to forget the power of limited time deals and deadlines, look no further than a day like this. Venture outside and take a peek at the parking lots, the never ending lines, and the serious shopping attitude.

The stores are competing for your attention. They’re sending out sales papers for weeks in advance. The news media hypes up the day. Basically it’s just like a massive product launch.

Some of the stores even run limited door buster specials for just 500 people or just for the first 2 hours.

Are you creating this kind of attention, interest, and passion for your online offers?

Several of my clients are running major specials today to their audiences. In fact, a couple of them are running the EXACT same special and even the exact same emails from last year. It worked previously…and it will work again.

But Black Friday is only one day of the year. You can create buying frenzies for your offers multiple times throughout the year.
