The information publishing business has been very good to me.
It’s now produced a full-time Internet Lifestyle for me for over 20 years!
I feel old whenever I say that.
If you would have told me where this business would take me 20 years ago, I never would have believed you. I had failed at every other business I had tried up till then. But this was different. The Internet really is the great equalizer.
That doesn’t mean everything worked for me. Not even close.
I’ve made a LOT of mistakes in that time.
One of the bigger mistakes I’ve made is overcomplicating my projects.
Sadly, I’ve repeated that mistake multiple times.
Your customers aren’t looking for an encyclopedia solution that details every option.
Instead, they’re looking for a simple step-by-step formula that takes them from the problem they’re experiencing today to the end solution.
They want to ‘cure’ what ills them.
And the easier it is to consume and implement the solution, the better.
“Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler.” – Albert Einstein
How simple can you make the process and it still be effective?
Look for ways to cut down the system…instead of constantly expanding it out.
Of course, you don’t want to eliminate too much. It must still deliver the goods.
Quit trying to come up with a solution that includes everything but the kitchen sink. It’s hard to motivate yourself to get started, it takes way too long to finish, and you feel like giving up halfway through. And a half finished project doesn’t earn you squat.
I’ve been there and done that multiple times.
What problem can you solve using a simple, new formula? Or how can you reposition something that’s old to be new again? You could come up with “The Lost Art of ______” or the “Old School Secrets of _____.” The Lost Art of Master Painters…
Some of my quickest products have been the most successful. For example, I took the book, “Scientific Advertising” that was out of copyright and in the public domain as a base. I added notes and instructions of how those techniques applied online to create a quickie product “Scientific Internet Advertising.” That ebook earned me tens of thousands of dollars…and I finished in in just a few days.
You don’t have to put together a 12 DVD package with 6 bonus audios and 400 pages of written content. Only the most dedicated would even want to go through that.
Can you deliver an effective step-by-step system in just one 60 minute audio?
If so, that’s where you should start. Put that together and see how it sells first. Then create additional content to build upon it. Or add an upsell behind it. You could outline and create that product by the end of the day.
If you’re nervous about being on audio by yourself, you could have someone else interview you. That makes it even easier.
I’ve found from experience that the amount of time it takes you to create a product has little to do with how much you earn from the product. You could spend months on a project with little payoff…or you could just invest this weekend and create a bestseller that magnetically attracts money.
It has to do with what your audience wants to buy…putting a system in front of them that solves their problem…and positioning it in a persuasive way.
That’s what the Internet Lifestyle System is all about.
It gives you the quickest and easiest way to create passive income streams you can be proud of…free your from your job, and fuel your internet lifestyle for decades…
This step-by-step system has been my secret for over 20 years now.
