I’m commonly asked how to choose the right traffic source.
It’s confusing, because there are so many options.
Should you use Bing, Adwords, or Facebook PPC?
Perhaps solo ads, PPV, or banners are right for your market?
Maybe blogging, Youtube, or social media will get you in front of your audience?
What about going offline with publicity, direct mail, or magazines?
Or should you invest your time in good old fashioned joint ventures?
Even experienced marketers get overwhelmed.
You simply don’t have the time OR money to do everything.
And if that’s not enough, everywhere you turn, someone is advertising a new mysterious traffic loophole that will solve your traffic problems forever.
How do you choose which one is right for you?
It’s not a one size-fits-all solution.
If you choose the wrong traffic source, you may just be spinning your wheels. Instead of diving into an ocean of red hot buyers, you’re frustrated with an empty swimming pool.
Some entrepreneurs get trapped in an even worse cycle.
Instead of choosing a traffic source and sticking with it until success, they jump from one ‘hot’ method to the next.
Nothing ever works for them, because they don’t give it time to work.
Soon they end up on forums telling everyone why internet marketing doesn’t work.
This question is important. And it continually comes up from clients, “How do I choose the right traffic source for me and my business?”
Until now, I simply haven’t had a good answer to it.
I mentioned this puzzle recently to my buddy Dr. Glenn Livingston, and he came back with a solution.
What if there was a spreadsheet which asked you questions about your personality, your audience, your budget, and the time you have available to manage your ads?
All you have to do is answer the simple ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ questions.
And the spreadsheet gives you suggestions of which traffic sources may be right for you.
We recruited two other marketing experts to help us brainstorm the 11 vital questions that help you choose your traffic sources. Then Glenn made the “Traffic Chooser” spreadsheet a reality.
I’m giving it to all my Monthly Mentor Club members in December.
This includes the spreadsheet, a 30 minute video recording of us demonstrating how it works, and my 15 page newsletter issue about choosing your traffic sources.
It will be uploaded along a PDF version of the newsletter on December 1st.
The print issue of the newsletter will be mailed to all subscribers on December 2nd.
Is the “Traffic Chooser” foolproof?
No. It’s not.
But once you’ve used it and see the 11 questions we used, you’ll be on the path to making intelligent decisions on all your traffic sources.
