Are you the smartest person in the room?
You’re in the wrong room.
Or more likely, you need to find a bigger room.
In other words, you need to step out of your little comfort zone.
That’s often the case when you find yourself ‘stuck’ in business.
Whatever you’re doing right now isn’t enough to get you to the next level.
In fact, it’s often worse than that.
Because the Internet continually moves at a breakneck pace, what you were doing last month isn’t enough to maintain where you’re at today.
You must move forward or be left behind.
For example, let’s say your email list isn’t growing.
That means it’s likely losing value.
Because some of your subscribers have lost interest. They’re not paying attention anymore.
Whatever you’re doing right now isn’t working.
So, which ‘bigger room’ will you move into?
You might decide to expand your content creation. How will you share content with a wider audience? Will you participate more frequently on one of the social media sites? Will you start producing a new video each day? Will you write more content for SEO?
Perhaps you choose paid advertising instead? Creating your first ad is intimidating. OK, let’s be real. It’s nerve racking whenever you launch a new campaign! You must overcome the fear. Start small and track your numbers.
Or maybe you’ll grow your list through joint venture partnerships. Leverage your current list and do reciprocal promotions where you promote someone else’s lead magnet when they promote yours. Launch your affiliate program. Or put yourself out there as an expert guest for podcasts.
No matter which one you choose, you’re going to have to control the fear and step out your comfort zone.
Every breakthrough in my business required the courage to do something new.
I created my first website before it was common. I participated in online discussions when I’d preferred to stay hidden. I learned to share personality and a bold message by email. I learned to write sales copy. I created my first products. I shared my story on radio shows and podcasts. I set up numerous joint venture deals. I spoke at conferences even though I’m an extreme introvert. I ran group coaching programs. I’ve outsourced projects I would have preferred to handle myself. I’ve coached clients at all different business levels (including some way more successful than me).
On and on it goes.
Growth requires stepping into a bigger room.
That applies to your business and to you as an individual.
What bigger room are you preparing to enter today?
Of course, that doesn’t always mean ‘doing more.’
Many times, stepping into a bigger room means letting go of past activities that aren’t serving you and your business anymore.
What are you letting go of?
Most of my clients operate from their home (or traveling abroad) with just a few virtual staff members. They keep costs low while earning big profits in small niches.
They can’t afford to do everything and be everywhere online. So, we’re intentional about the activities they use to grow their businesses.
No wasted time or energy.
My 1-Hour Work Day course will help you get unstuck and move past the overwhelm.
