With 20 one-on-one clients in radically different markets, I get to see a LOT of test results.

There are some changes that multiply conversion across all these unique audiences.

The test that often brings the most dramatic change in conversion…sometimes doubling or even tripling conversion overnight…is creating a video sales letter.

Here’s the thing. It doesn’t always work. I’ve seen tests where a video sales letter actually dropped the conversion versus a straight text only website.

But I’ve also seen tests where the video completely transformed the numbers of the business.

One of the benefits of video is you control the pitch and the pace.

Visitors can’t jump around and skim the message.

This means the whole story can be told, IF you can hold their attention that long.

The good news is that a video sales letter is similar to written copy.

They each will have the Golden Glove built into the pitch (Desperate Problem, Unique Promise, Overwhelming Proof, Irresistible Offer, and Reason to Act Now).

They lead with a strong hook that grabs attention.

And they tell an engaging story.

But there are also some key differences between written and video websites.
