ProfitsSometimes I reminece about the bad old days…

I’m talking about those days where I was delivering newspapers in the dead of winter.  Or when I was paid minimum wage plus tips to deliver pizzas for Little Caesars.

We were guaranteed $8 an hour if we didn’t get enough tips.  I was ALWAYS paid $8 an hour.

Those were the days all right…the days I sometimes want to forget but can’t.

But there were advantages of that kind of predicament.  When I started online I didn’t have a plan B.  It was this either works…or else.

I was desperate for success.  I studied.  I worked.  I practiced.  I tested every idea that came my way.

Some ideas worked.  The majority didn’t.  But I kept at it.  I was willing to do whatever it took to succeed online.

I remember there were times where an ad failed…and I was heartbroken.  There goes $100 that took 12 and half hours to earn delivering pizzas…and it went out the door with a single ad with no returns.  Ouch!

But that’s the reality of online business.  One of the disclaimers you’ll see on my site and ANY other site related to making money is that all business involves an element of risk.

Don’t allow that to just be a disclaimer you jump over, because it is true.  There are risks in this business.  Everything doesn’t always go well.  You will have hard times.

You may even want to quit…

That’s where the rubber meets the road.

That’s when you question your motivation.

Why are you doing this?

What is it all for?  If you’re just here on a whim…or an idea…you probably won’t make it.

You have to want this in the center of your being.  You have to truly desire to be an entrepreneur.

Perhaps it’s desperation to change your life like I originally had.

Or maybe it’s the that deep down burning KNOWING your family can have something better.

Or maybe it’s the passion about a subject that drives you.

Or maybe you care so much about a cause and an audience you can help that you’ll push through anything to reach them.

See…I don’t know what drives you.  What I do know is there has to be something.

Almost every successful entrepreneur I’ve met has had a turning point in their life.

There was a point where they made a decision something would change.  They couldn’t live the way they were any longer.  It was that moment…that decision that led to everything else afterwards.

Have you made the decision?

Have you decided yet that an internet business isn’t just a “good idea?”  It is your only option.

If you haven’t made that decision yet, what will it take for you to get there?

Because NOTHING will change until that decision is made.

How do you know if you’ve made the decision?  It’s tough to explain unless you’re already feeling it.  It’s a knowing…a desperation living inside of you…and the peace that comes with it.

This is your path…and no matter what comes you will brave through it.

I’m reminded of the movie Braveheart here.   Mel Gibson’s cry of “FREEDOM” is what I felt back in my pizza delivery days.  I wanted freedom with all my being.  And no matter what it took…that was the price I was willing to pay.

Where are you in this process…and how far are you from making this decision?

If this article discourages you, then you’re not ready yet.

If you are ready…or you’ve already made the decision, then good for you.  It’s only a matter of time and effort at this point.
