Are you distracted trying to collect small change…while hundred-dollar bills are flying past you?

It’s so easy to focus on the little things.

Unless you have a lot of traffic, you won’t notice much difference in the color of your order button…as long as it stands out and contrasts with the other colors on your site.

I’ve seen people who ran all kinds of tests on their site, and the majority made almost no difference.

I’m not telling you not to test. That would be crazy. But I am telling you to focus on the majors instead of the minors.

Your offer makes a big difference.

A radically different headline can multiply your results.

And adding more proof early on a page often improves conversion.

When I start helping new clients, I look at their offers and their landing pages.

We often find some extra money here.

But many times the biggest sources of hidden money in their business are things they’ve been completely ignoring.

For example, maybe they had an offer or special they ran in the past that generated a LOT of income.

But they’ve never run it since!

I start asking questions. And eventually they remember that promotion. They run it again…using the same offer, web copy, and emails. Boom…another big payday.

Would it surprise you to find out that several of my clients now have specials they run every year?

Their Black Friday special performed in 2016. So they ran the same one in 2017…and 2018.

It worked each time.

This meant they could use the same website and the same emails.

And that’s just one of their specials. They have multiple specials they run almost word-for-word year-after-year in their markets.

This won’t necessarily work in a fast-moving tech market, but there’s a lot of markets where it does work. And even if the offer has to be updated, a lot of the other pieces can be kept the same.

This is a great example of working once and getting paid on it forever.

What about relationships they’ve developed with influencers in their market?

For example, if they’ve been a guest on a popular podcast, they can go back to the host to appear on the show again.

Or they can contact their top affiliates for another special offer to their audiences.

Perhaps they met several top influencers at a recent event, but they’ve never even followed up with them.

Contact them. Ask to interview them for your podcast or your list.

Build a stronger relationship with them that can eventually transition into a promotion of your products or services.
