I used to frequently tell a LIE about online business.
In fact, I still accidently say it at times.
It’s so common you’ve probably heard it 100 times…
“Anyone can do this!”
I firmly believed it in the beginning.
If a college dropout delivering pizzas for a living could do this, then anyone should be able to.
But it’s not true…as much as I would like to believe it.
Some people simply don’t have the right mindset to run their own business.
They’re not willing to put in the work required to get something up and moving in the beginning.
You have to be willing to access your own strengths and weaknesses.
That alone can be difficult to accept!
We’ve been taught false humility all our lives so it’s hard to realize what comes natural to us and where our skills and life experience can help others.
At the same time, it isn’t easy to accept we’re not great at everything. And just because your favorite guru generates traffic one way doesn’t mean that’s the exact business model you should follow.
Are willing to hire others to help you see your blind spots and share their expertise with you?
There have been times I’ve been asked to review someone’s plan or website, and the truth was difficult for them to accept.
I remember a lady who cried after I suggested a bunch of changes she needed to make.
But she made the wise decision to follow my advice and eventually had a business earning over $5,000/day.
The biggest challenge you’re going to face is the temptation to give up.
Things don’t always go as planned.
It may take longer to get into profit than you expected.
Your first ad campaign fails royally.
Your best team member quits, and you have to scramble to replace them.
Perhaps Facebook, Google, Paypal, or some other service you rely on decides to ban you for little or no reason.
Success online requires good old stick-to-itiveness.
Some of the qualities you’ll see in those who succeed long-term online include the willingness to accept feedback, the ability to learn from failures, and the persistence to keep moving forward especially when it’s difficult.
If you don’t have those qualities, then online business may not be for you.
But if you do have them…and you’re looking to build a new business or grow your current business to a much higher level, then check out the Monthly Mentor Club.
This wasn’t a rah-rah message of how awesome the Internet Lifestyle is, because sometimes we need to take a step back and look at the cold, hard facts.
It can be tough, especially in the beginning.
But the Internet Lifestyle is worth it…and the Club is where you’ll get the tools you need to Earn More, Work Less, and Enjoy Life online!
