What’s the ‘best’ way to grow your email subscriber list?

I don’t know.

You probably didn’t expect that answer!

Yes, I know a lot of ways to grow your subscriber list, and many of them can be used to attract your ideal buyers.

But I don’t believe there is one ‘best’ way.

Here are just a few of the methods clients currently use to grow their lists:

  • Paid ads with Facebook, Youtube, and others.
  • Joint ventures and affiliates
  • Blogging combined with search engine optimization
  • Youtube channel
  • Podcasts
  • Amazon books
  • Social media (pick one that fits you and your audience)
  • Front-end offers (build a buyer’s list)

I’ve taught many ways to build lists over the years.

One of the strategies involves a business that collected 100,000 new subscribers in less than 7 days.

They did it with a 2-page mini-site during their pre-launch. They didn’t have any products available for purchase yet.

If 5 or more of your referrals opted into their list (no purchase required), you received a gift of one of their upcoming products. Refer 10, 25, or 50 and get bigger product gifts.

They built momentum by contacting people they already knew along with running some Facebook ads and paid email broadcasts.

That certainly beats spending 6 months trying to get all your products finished and a fancy website created.

The keys to their success include:

Their call-to-action was clear, simple, and direct.

They made it easy to refer.

They incentivized the referrals with the same products they were going to be selling. This meant they were attracting their ideal clients.
