Send emails.

Make offers.

There is a lot more we could say about each of these 3 steps, but let’s just focus on one way to grow your list faster today.

Partner with those who already have the eyes and ears of your ideal buyers.
Your future clients are already reading other people’s emails.

They’re listening to other people’s podcasts.

They’re visiting other people’s blogs, Youtube channels, and social media accounts.

When one of these ‘influencers’ shares you with their audience…you not only get a rush of new subscribers but you also get a little boost of credibility from their endorsement.

Over the years, I’ve done all kinds of strategic partnerships to grow my list including co-authored articles, joint webinars, blog guest posts, offering my product as a bonus with someone else’s, co-reg ads, free giveaways, growing a large affiliate program, and so much more. If you can come up with a way to add more value to someone else’s business, there is likely a partnership opportunity there.

But the rule of keeping it simple applies here as well.

Here are two of the most common methods you can use…

#1 – Be the expert. 

Contact podcasters in your market and tell your story. Yes, you have to ‘sell yourself’ as a great guest. If you’re just getting started, don’t go after the biggest podcasts. Go after smaller ones which do guest interviews and build your experience. 

Provide a list of questions that demonstrate your expertise and allow you to tell different aspects of your story. That’s the key…it’s not just about sharing information. It’s about being an entertaining guest that has a story to tell.

Create an irresistible lead magnet that continues the conversation you start on your interview. Subscribers who come from the podcast will be more qualified than other leads because they just invested 30+ minutes listening to you.  

Another option if you can’t stand doing interviews would be writing guest posts for blogs and newsletters…

#2 – Do list promo trades.

If you don’t have a list, then you can’t do this yet! But once your list starts to grow, you can do cross-promotions with others in your niche. Use this as a way to multiply the effects of anything else you’re doing.

They promote your lead magnet.  You promote theirs.

Easy-peasy. No money exchanges hands. If they have a larger list, you could promote them multiple times. The reverse is also true.

Again, don’t start by going after big list owners. Partner with those on a similar level.

Either of these methods can be used consistently to help you grow your list faster.
