How to Win BIG in 2019

The cost of advertising continues to increase, especially on Facebook.

There is more competition than ever before.

And customers are jaded by all the big promises.

Doing business online is NOT like it was a decade ago.

It’s not like it was even a few years ago.

Almost every product and service has been turned into a commodity.

Someone is selling what you do for less.

But you can’t join the price war. That’s where competitors keep dropping the price, until no one wins. Eventually the prices get so low that only the biggest competitors with the most pricing power are able to survive.

Instead, you’ve got to find your point of difference.

There are ‘price of entry’ benefits and ‘point of difference’ benefits.

Price of entry benefits are benefits EVERYONE in the market offers.

If someone sells a protein bar, for example, it obviously has to have protein and it has to taste good.

Your point of difference could be all-natural paleo ingredients…or low carb…or whatever else your market demands.

But once you start selling well, soon people will copy your ingredients and your benefits.

You have to go past this to win in 2019.

You have to tap into a story that resonates with the target audience.

My friend Dr. Glenn Livingston recently made a comment on an interview where he said…

“You have to become a coach on a mission instead of a coach with a cash register.”

Why do you do what you do?

What motivates you?

What frustrates you about the world or the market you’re in? How did this ‘anger’ or frustration cause you to help your audience in the way you have?

If you’re selling an all-natural paleo bar, why is that important to you? So what if it’s all-natural? Why isn’t that important?

What ‘story’ have you went through to get to where you are today?

Other people can and will copy your benefits and your current point of difference.

But it’s tough to copy your story.

It’s difficult for them to come out with the exact same mission.

Otherwise it becomes obvious they’re simply parroting you as the leader.

Think deeper about what you offer.

You need strong benefits.

But even more…you need a story that resonates with your audience.

You need a story they will want to share with others.
