Yesterday was Independence Day in the US.
And it always gets me thinking about my own personal Independence Day.
That was the day I discovered the power of the Internet.
More specifically it was the day I discovered the power of email and building your own audience.
I had bounced from one dead-end job to another.
I had failed at direct sales and door-to-door sales.
I had wasted thousands of dollars on failed business opportunities.
The Internet equaled hope for me. It gave the opportunity for a brighter day.
I could be free from all those crappy jobs and experience the independence of an Internet Lifestyle.
And I’ve now lived that lifestyle for 20 years.
I wouldn’t trade it for anything else.
But the Internet Lifestyle ISN’T for everyone.
That may sound weird coming from me, but it’s true.
Not everyone is cut out for freedom.
Freedom of any type always has a cost.
Here’s a quote from one of the founding fathers…
“They who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.”
Some people simply don’t do well in any type of business because they need assurances.
They need to be 100% positive they’re going to get paid before they take action.
And that kind of predictability doesn’t exist when starting out.
If you require ‘safety’ before you move forward, it’s hard to build a profitable business.
If someone is continually researching their market without getting started or they’re continually studying without applying the material, this is where they’re probably stuck.
They’re waiting until everything is just right.
And that day NEVER comes.
While there are a lot of things you can do to increase your odds of success, there is no guarantee any specific project will be a home run.
There are no assurances that any specific ad will work.
That’s why we test ads.
That’s why I recommend building a list as one of your first steps in growing your business.
If one email doesn’t work, you can send another one tomorrow.
I’ve had projects that weren’t as big of winners as I thought they would be, but I can’t remember an overall project that wasn’t profitable for me.
If it didn’t work on first try, I’d make some changes, and run it another way.
And by getting people on your list first, you give yourself multiple chances at bat.
That’s why building your audience and knowing how to communicate with them is the shortcut to independence and freedom.
My Autoresponder Alchemy course is about more than just giving you emails you can model and use to create your own winning campaigns.
It’s about understanding the mindset behind what works for building a profitable list.
It’s about positioning yourself as an authority who automatically attracts the right customers and clients…while repelling those who shouldn’t do business with you anyway.
You’ll have the tools, the system, and the mindset.
It’s about experiencing your own Independence Day…
