Squeeze More Value Out of Your Content

One of the biggest mistakes we can make as Internet Lifestyle entrepreneurs is trying to do ‘everything.’

We overwhelm ourselves by putting too many different activities on our plate.

Instead, you need to find the right flow for your business and your audience.

I recently helped a client put together a simple social media strategy.

His preferred content method is video.

So, he’s going to focus on creating videos using Youtube.

He’ll then upload those same videos to Facebook and Linkedin.

We put together a ‘content matrix’ that made it very easy for him to come up with 100+ ideas for content that will attract his ideal clients.

And since he is also an author, he is going to organize and plan his video content so it corresponds to the chapters he is writing at the time.

That way he gets feedback from his audience as he publishes video content related to his book content.

This guarantees higher quality content in his books as he finishes each one.

But the value doesn’t end there.

He could have the videos transcribed. This is easy and low-cost using sites such as Rev.com today.

The video content, with a little editing, could become blog posts and emails.

Excerpts from his strongest statements could become tweets.

Are you squeezing maximum value out of all your content?

For example, maybe you’re writing blog posts.

You could cut up longer blog posts into several emails.

Those blog posts and emails could be turned into an eBook or book.

You could deliver the same content in a video.

Maybe you’re interviewing experts on a podcast.

Break those interviews into multiple video clips.

Transcribe them and create blog posts or emails.

Instead of ‘doing more’, be strategic about getting more value out of everything you do.

That’s a key to eliminating the overwhelm.

It’s not about running faster and doing more.

It’s about maximizing the value you deliver while focusing on the highest and best use of your time.

Right now…ask yourself how you can get more value from what you’re already doing?
